I hold a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University, a Masters in Teaching from USC and Bachelors of Science in General Engineering and Chinese from the United States Military Academy at West Point. I am also a graduate of the Financial Coach Academy, the leading financial coach training program.
I was born in Los Angeles but spent the majority of my childhood in Taiwan. I have the privilege of being rooted in both Eastern and Western cultures and am fluent in both English and Chinese Mandarin. I started my professional career as an Intelligence Officer in the Army. After the military, I joined a Fortune 250 company where I held various leadership positions including supply chain, recruiting, program management, and human resources. This was also when I realized I needed to build wealth in order to reach financial freedom and live the lifestyle I want (sit on the couch and have money flying into my bank accounts!). I set out on my journey to financial freedom through financial education, intentional spending, and trauma healing, which enabled me to grow my net worth 10x in less than 7 years to become a self-made millionaire.
